Common Law Society

The Glasgow University common law society aims to involve every person with an interest in common law.

The Glasgow University common law society aims to involve every person with an interest in common law. Not just only the law in the United Kingdom, but also the common law systems followed in other countries.

Our society aims to be a means of bringing both common law students and all students interested in the common law together in order to discuss, research and represent our subject together.

We aim to advance the knowledge of different legal systems apart from just Scots law for students by providing amenities and supporting activities for students.

Our society provides a number of social events, such as picnics, film screenings and book get-togethers.
We also call in speakers based in common law firms to help educate members about the opportunities and career aspects open to them whilst at university and following graduation.
