Representation

Representation is at the heart of the SRC; listening to students and working hard to improve life at University. On a local level through your Class Reps, right up to a national level through your Sabbatical Officers. You can find out more about our work or contact us here.

Sabbatical officers

They are the most senior representative of students to the University, and sit on a number of committees including the two governing bodies of the University, Senate and Court. It is their job to make sure students’ voices are heard at the highest level of the University.

Council

The Council is the governing body and at the heart of the SRC. The Council is made up of the four Sabbatical Officers, Academic Officers, Welfare and Equal Opportunities Officer and General Representatives. Council is elected by, and accountable to, the student body.

Class reps

Class Reps are essential to both the University and the SRC. They allow students to air their views to the academics that run their department on issues like course content, teaching and resources. They are the first point of contact for students who have a problem, or suggestion, about a class as a whole.
