Glasgow University Students Representative Council

We are a student run society to help with raising awareness, funds and support for Macmillan Cancer Support as they help people affected by cancer. We were set up in December 2013 and since then have raised over £5000 for Macmillan Cancer Support, through bucket collections, raffles and socials. We have also supported existing Macmillan events which have raised over £50000 in a single afternoon.
Macmillan at the University of Glasgow (MUGs) has been set up in the hope that students would like to get involved with raising awareness, funds and support for Macmillan Cancer Support in their effort to support people affected by cancer.

The society offers opportunities for students to gain experience in fundraising, market, publicity and event planning, with many opportunities for students to get involved with the committee. We also have a number of socials throughout the year and are sponsored by Viper nightclub.
