Volunteer Week is a chance for you to find out about the many exciting opportunities the SRC has for you to gain new skills, make new contacts, have some fun, AND help other people at the same time!
The SRC works with many partner charity organisations in the community, as well as student run volunteering opportunities such as Nightline, Glasgow University Service for the Homeless, Students Volunteer Abroad, etc., to offer a range of flexible, short and long term volunteering roles.
Giving an hour or two on a regular basis can make a huge difference to other people, as well as building your graduate attributes and increasing your employability skills.
Volunteer Week is our way of recognising the importance of volunteer work carried out by students in the surrounding communities.
Join us for a whole range of events during the week of 13th – 17th February 2017, including information sessions, talks, volunteering activities, and a fair where you can speak to partner agencies about what they offer.
The week will finish with our VCS (Volunteering, Clubs and Societies) Awards on the evening of Friday 17th February. These awards celebrate the extra-curricular achievements of affiliated clubs and societies as well as the “Pride of Volunteering” award nominated by our partner organisations.
