100 Santa Sacks Challenge – Donate today and make a difference

100 Santa Sacks Challenge makes its return and here’s how you can make this year even better!

In partnership with GUSA, GUU, QMU and Glasgow University Earth Science Society we have organised various collection points across Gilmorehill campus for students too donate non-perishable items (e.g jars, packets of food or even toiletries) between the 20th November and 8th December. You can drop as many items to each donation point as you wish:

SRC Welcome Point, McIntyre Building
Gregory Building
Glasgow University Union
Queen Margaret Union
Stevenson Building

Pritasha Kariappa, VP Student Activities says”The challenge is endorsed by Woodside Community Council and aims to deliver 100 sacks of food and goodies to the local elderly community. This year, we will be competing against Glasgow Caledonian University and Strathclyde University to see who can fill up the most number of Santa sacks! We want to bring the old and the young together this Christmas and help spread some festive spirit! The challenge will run until the 8th of December so I would like to urge all staff and students at the University of Glasgow to get involved with such a meaningful campaign and help us make someone’s Christmas this year!”

This year as well as competing again with GCUSA, University of Strathclyde Students’ Union are also in the competition, so we’re hoping to get as many donations from UofG students as possible!
