“Too many student flats in west end”

GUSRC response to comments by Sandra White MSP

GUSRC are disappointed to see that Sandra White MSP has told Housing Minister Margaret Burgess that there are too many student flats in the West End. In an article published by the Evening Times on the 8th April, Ms White was quoted: “In my constituency, some areas are in danger of losing what are age old communities and in danger of becoming student villages” and was reported to have asked the Housing Minister “what action the Scottish Government was taking to protect communities from over provision of student housing”. Read on for GUSRC’s response.
