The SRC provides free buses for students that run from Murano Street, Cairncross, Maclay, QM Halls and Wolfson Halls.
Service Update – 29/1/2015
Due to the inclement weather the service will operate on a limited basis this evening, 29th January 2015. Pick up times cannot be guaranteed because of the condition of the roads. If the weather worsens again we may have to discontinue the service at short notice.
Service Update – 13/1/2015
We expect disruptions to the minibus service from this week until the end of February due to major road works on Queen Margaret Drive and Belmont street. this will have an impact on the service to all halls.
The SRC drivers will try and do as many runs as possible but it is unlikely that the service will run on schedule and at times the number of runs may need to be reduced. Please do not question the driver on this as this will only result in more delay, but if you have any questions please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Get the bus from the marked bus stops at halls, and on campus at the back of the John McIntyre Building, next to the main gate on University Avenue.
Buses run Monday to Friday during term time excluding bank holidays: 0730 until 1030 and then 1730 and 2300.
- The closest halls but the busiest bus route! – Cairncross & Kelvinhaugh and McLay Halls
- The biggest of the halls! – Murano Street
- The quietest route! – QM Halls
- The distant halls! – Wolfson
Timetables are located on each bus stop and printed ones are available online above, from the SRC, your halls of residence and from the buses themselves. Please be aware that the times are approximate, and buses may arrive a few minutes early or late. To maximise the number of runs we can provide per day, the drivers have to stick to a very tight schedule, so as a courtesy to the drivers and all other users of the service, please do not try and hold up the bus for any reason.
Drivers cannot have discussions on changing the timetable, answer questions on why buses leave early, wait for tardy friends or any latecomers so please take this on board when using the service. If you have any questions about our service please don’t hesitate to contact Gina Connor, email@example.com, who will be happy to explain the service further.
Due to food allergies and previous messy passengers, eating and drinking is not allowed on any of the buses, and neither is smoking. Please dispose of any items before entering the minibuses.
A dial-a-bus service for disabled students is available on our scheduled routes. Journeys must be arranged 48 hours in advance to ensure you can be accommodated. Call the SRC on 0141 330 5360 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange a minibus journey.
