SRC Library stall – Gibson Street Gala

We are pleased to announce a new initiative to connect students with local volunteering opportunities.

The SRC Student Volunteer Support Service is pleased to announce a new initiative to connect University of Glasgow students with local organisations that provide volunteering opportunities. Working together with the Library, we will be offering organisations and student clubs and societies a stall space to promote their work. To book this space contact volunteering@src.gla.uk.

Our first promotion is for the Gibson Street Gala, a local festival since 2003. They are looking for a number of volunteers to help with the Gala on the day and in the preparation of the event. Roles include planning activities, liaising with local business, organising stalls, stewarding and welcoming, getting feedback, setting up and clearing away. As a volunteer you will gain great experience working with the public, working as part of a team, an understanding of event planning and have a lot of fun too!

Come along to the SRC stall in the Level 3 Library Café on the following days to find out more: 5th, 8th, 14th and 20th May from 12 – 2pm.
