Glasgow University Students Representative Council

The Sociology Society is a student community organisation at the University of Glasgow, and entry to the society is open to anyone who is sociologically intrigued. We host events a variety of social events like pub quizzes, discussions and debates, PhD and career panels, and film and documentary screenings.

We aim to facilitate inter-year relationships with anyone interested in Sociology and the wider social sciences, and to offer a community of like-minded people that is friendly and inspiring.

Our mission is to foster critical thinking through discussion and raise awareness of current social issues. Along with assisting students work out their future career prospects and fields in which their skills could be applied (PhD and work panels).
