Welcome to the Glasgow University Orienteering Club!

Orienteering combines racing on some of nature’s most beautiful terrain, with the added challenge of having to navigate between set locations on a map. The terrain can vary from urban settings such as the West End of Glasgow and the Old Town in Edinburgh to local parks, rough open fell and forest.

As a club, we provide regular training for both navigation and fitness, as well as socials, and regular trips away such as our training weekend in Semester 1.

Our training night is a TUESDAY, and we normally meet at the main bridge in Kelvingrove Park at 6.30 pm, just off Kelvin Way.

We regularly attend events held by STAG and CLYDE, and we are regular competitors in races across Scotland and the north of England. Orienteering is a great way to see more of the country.

Past members of the club include competitors in the World Orienteering Championships as well as complete beginners, so the club welcomes everyone of all levels of experience and all levels of fitness.
