The University of Glasgow Medico-Chirurgical Society organises social and educational events for medical and nursing students at the University.

Founded in 1802, we are one of the oldest medical societies in Scotland, formed twelve years before practising physicians and surgeons in Glasgow began to meet for formal instruction.

It is one of the oldest societies in the University and was instrumental in founding the Glasgow University Union in 1890.

Our events run on Thursday evenings and range from Scrubby; our annual subcrawl wearing scrubs, to more educational offerings such as OSCE revision nights and Neuro-skills and curry.
