Liberal Democrats
The Liberal Democrats exist to build and safeguard a fair, free and open society, in which we seek to balance the fundamental values of liberty, equality and community, and in which no one shall be enslaved by poverty, ignorance or conformity.
The Glasgow University Liberal Democrats seek to allow for all students interested in the Liberal Democrats and liberal politics to meet, discuss current affairs, and to give a voice to our values on campus.
Throughout the year we’ll have various different events – including meeting up for a chat about politics, spreading our values by helping campaign for local Liberal Democrat candidates, and taking part in collaborative events with other societies. All these events will be advertised on our Facebook page and we’re always open to new members!
Membership of the Liberal Democrats is not a requirement to join our society – we are open to all students who believe in the values of liberty, equality, and community.
