The school of thought founded by Karl Marx — Marxism — provides the most important and relevant criticism of capitalism ever expounded. As well as an explanation of capitalism and society, Marxism is also a call to action. It demands we educate ourselves further and place ourselves at the heart of the revolutionary struggle to change the world.
As the Glasgow Marxists we meet weekly to discuss Marxist ideas and their relevance to today. We educate ourselves and others in these ideas so that we may take them out into the wider student and labour movement, connecting the living forces of change with the philosophy of revolution.
