Giving blood in Glasgow is easier than most people think, and GUGB aims to promote blood donation to the student population of Glasgow University. Travelling to give blood has remained an essential reason for travel throughout lockdown and is an extremely rewarding way to make a contribution to the NHS efforts in the ongoing pandemic. The donor centre in town is open 6 days per week as 8 Nelson Mandela Place. We continue to work closely with SNBTS. In previous years we have hosted their blood drive which comes to QMU each November. Since our founding in 2015, we have been expanding. We have hosted our very own Clubs and Societies Blood Battle where over 200 pints were donated last year! We like to think we’re a welcoming bunch and are always keen to see new faces, so even if you don’t know just how great blood donation is yet come along and meet the team! We’d love to have you.
