The Glasgow European Society (GES) is a student-run society at University of Glasgow that caters to all those interested in the culture, economies and politics of Europe.
Our mission is to promote the idea of a European identity and support the development of a united European community through cultural, social and political events. As a result the society also aims to generate an interest as well as understanding of the work that the European Union undertakes. Our motto is Unitas mirabile vinculum, Latin for The wonderful bond of unity. We are one of the more active societies at campus and we host a wide variety of enjoyable events.
