The Alexandrian Society is the Classics Department’s staff-student society and it was founded in 1887. It is for anyone with an interest in all things classical. We hold a mixture of academic and social events, including guest lectures and games nights. We also put on productions of plays every year, such as Electra and The Women of Thesmophoria.  Whether you’re a classics student or just love “Troy” then this is the society for you. Join us when we meet every Thursday at 5pm!
