Adam Smith Economics Society

The Adam Smith Economics Society is the largest and oldest academic society at the University of Glasgow.

The Adam Smith Economics Society is named after one of Glasgow’s most famous alumnus and the father of modern economics. We are one of the largest and oldest academic society based at the University of Glasgow, with over 300 members.

Our members are students at the Adam Smith Business School and the wider student body at the University of Glasgow studying a range of subjects and share an interest in business and economics. Our mission is to offer our members opportunities for growth and development across both their professional and academic lives. We aim to inspire and develop the skills of our members through:

  • Insight events and career days with our with graduate employers
  • Promoting networking through our social events
  • Supporting our members employability through events such as the Business Case Competition, mock assessment centres, and lectures.
