We at Glasgow University Magazine, or GUM as we prefer to be known, deliver a slice of Glaswegian life to the hungry population of the cities West End. You will find our delicious publication throughout campus as well as in numerous cafes and galleries and, in keeping with the student stereotype, pubs, clubs and bars.
GUM was the first student magazine ever to be published in Scotland, way back in 1889 to be exact, a time when world wars and cornflakes were unheard of and moving pictures were the stuff of a mad man’s dreams. Since that time the magazine has gone from strength to strength – feeding the brains of its readers with politics, culture, comedy, art, fashion, music, travel, sport and satire.
