Find A Solution 2010

Find A Solution is now over for another year and we are pleased to announce that the 6 students all came up with fantastic solutions to the problems posed.
Alzheimer Scotland
The students came up with a variety of innovative ideas and products which Alzheimer Scotland could use to ensure continued funding for their Forget Me Not service. From business cards asking for donations from those eating out at local restaurants to glassware and commissioned artwork. Undoubtedly, this will assist Alzheimer Scotland in securing funding and ensuring they can continue providing their befriending service.
Citizens Advice Direct
CAD asked the students to identify what services there currently were for BME communities, Asylum Seekers and those hard of hearing or deaf. After much research the students were able to pinpoint what is out there to ensure CAD were not duplicating other services and identifying areas they could further help. In addition they investigated home working, to help CAD establish if they could expand their service and volunteers without having to find larger premises. All in all CAD have been left with a wealth of information to help them move forward!
National Youth Choir of Scotland
NYCoS tasked their students with conducting a marketing audit and exploring how they keep in touch with their alumni. The students carried out a marketing audit which will help NYCoS staff know what is working and what needs examined further with the research to back up what they already thought. The students were only briefly able to examine NYCoS’ links with their alumni but have carried out some very useful work to help NYCoS to continue expanding.
