Confucius Classroom
If you’re a Chinese or Taiwanese student at the University of Glasgow, then the SRC have teamed up with Hillhead High School to give volunteers a chance to work at the Mandarin Hub that they’ve launched. The aim of this is to help pupils learn the Mandarin Language, and who better than students form that part of the world to pass on your knowledge and experience of the culture!
Native speakers of Mandarin who are studying at Glasgow International College are also welcome to volunteer.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer in any of these areas, please
e-mail volunteer@src.gla.ac.uk. The SRC are required to ask all students who will go on to work with children under the age of 18 or vulnerable adults to complete a Disclosure Scotland form, and you collect one of these from the SVSS Coordinator on the first floor of the John McIntyre building.
