Macmillan Cancer Support

Macmillan Cancer Support recruit volunteers to support those affected by cancer. The Macmillan Volunteer Service is able to offer a wide range of emotional and practical support.

‘Would you like to make a real difference to someone affected by cancer in your community? We are offering training and support to volunteers who have the skills and time to help with the emotional and practical issues faced by someone living with cancer. Home visits, helping with shopping, taking to appointments, providing a listening ear – these simple tasks make a real difference’

This support is always tailored to the needs of the individual. The Service operates throughout West Dunbarton and engages with people living in the Clydebank, Dumbarton and Alexandria areas.  Volunteers will be trained and supervised by a dedicated volunteer coordinator and will be offered ‘out of pocket’ expenses.
