Come along and take part in the taping of GUST’s weekly news programme – you’ll have a chance to observe & try out every aspect of a studio recording, from camera, sound and lighting to floor managing and directing.

Want to know what it’s like to work for one of the most recognized newspapers on campus? Well now is your chance. As part of this session, you will be able to meet the people behind the multi-award winning Glasgow Guardian and sign up to be part of the team.

Find out everything about volunteering at Glasgow University at this informal workshop. Volunteering is a great way to meet new people and make a difference in your local community. It also helps to build your employability skills and looks great on your CV.

The SRC Language cafe will be transformed into a burns supper with poetry from Robert burns and some traditional Scottish food so why not come along, meet new people and sample the delights of scottish cuisine!

In a club or society but not sure how to make your publicity stand out from the crowd? This workshop will cover what makes a great poster, what catches peoples attention and how to make sure you get all the information you need squished on to it.
5.30-7.30pm One Voice Documentary Screening of ‘Beyond Solidarity – Pragmatism and Peace in Israel and Palestine / Arthur Balfour and Me – Filmscreening and Discussion’, Boyd Orr Lecture Theatre A
Discussion with the filmmaker, a Palestinian refugee herself, as well as Sharon Booth from OneVoice Europe.

Social networks are one of the easiest ways of increasing membership of your club or society. In this workshop you can find out how to use websites like Facebook and Twitter to keep people updated with all the events and activities organised by your group.

The International Society will be taking over the Debates Chamber for one night only for a session of Spanish salsa. £2 per person. Everyone welcome.

The Subcity Sessions’ is one of Subcity Radio’s flagship new local music shows. The Sessions exhibits the best of local and unsigned music from in and around Glasgow. Come along and see a couple of Glasgow’s finest up-and-coming acts play live for free in an intimate setting. Past acts have included everyone from Franz Ferdinand and Errors to Young Aviators and Paper Planes.
