Queen Margaret Union

12 Hour Cheesy Pop

12 Hour Cheesy Pop is the best start to the Winter Holidays. We have the ultimate party. It’s like Cheesy Pop – but 12 hours long, featuring not only the legendary DJ Toast but during his well deserved break we’ll have some of the best entertainment there is, plus much more on the side. It truly is the ultimate End of Term Party.

15 Dec: Qudos open 9.00 till 3.30am (Bedlam)
17 Dec: Qudos Café open 8.30am till 1.30pm – Building open until 6.00pm

18, 19, 20 Dec: Qudos Café open 8.30am till 1.30pm – Building open until 6.00pm

21 Dec – 2 Jan : Building Closed

3rd Jan: Shop 8.30am until 3.00pm – Building open until 6.00pm
4th Jan: Shop 8.30am until 3.00pm, Games Room Bar 5.00pm until Midnight, Jims Bar 8.00pm until 2.00am with DJ Toast (TBC)

Glasgow University Union

Friday 14th December, 8pm to 8am
Daft Friday is one of the biggest social events of the year. Thrown in honour of the President of the Union as a thank you for his hard work over the past year, the building is transformed into a fantasy land based around a carefully-chosen theme.
Tickets are £30 for a single and £55 for a double. They’re available now from the GUU shop.

International Society

The International Society is one of the largest student groups on campus. If you’re an international student you will have almost surely come across some of their events in first term. The International Society organises a Winter Festival with food on Boxing Day, 26th Dec (date tbc).

International Student Support – No1 The Square

Friday 7th December
International Family Network Christmas Coffee/Craft morning will be held at 10am in No 1 The Square. Please email Gillian Gillespie to book a place.

Thursday 13 December
International Family Network Children’s Christmas Party,
with entertainment and a gift from Santa, will take place on Thursday 13th December, 4pm to 6pm in the 1A The Square.
If you would like to bring your children along please contact Kirsten Heggie by Monday 3rd December stating the name, age and gender of each child. Places for the party must be booked in advance so that we can ensure Santa has a gift for all the children.

Friday 21 December
Christmas customs from around the World – Tell Club members how you celebrate Christmas where you come from – or what you do if Christmas is not part of your culture.
Enter the church hall by the door in Southpark Avenue.
