As part of the SRC’s Conversational English programme, students are invited to come along to the Language Café.
If you’re an International Student looking for help with your English, a Language Student looking for extra practice or just a native speaker wanting to learn more about other cultures, we’re here to help.
The Language Café gives you the chance to be paired-up with other students and get the help you’re looking for.

They are all in the Williams Room and are running from 2.30-4.30pm.

SVA Charity Football Tournament

Roll up, roll up, roll up!
Make sure you and your friends doesn’t miss out on a chance to be 5-a-side Football Champions of Glasgow University!
There’s a £50 Cash Prize for the winning team(s), and some consolation prizes for those that don’t... Imagine the bragging rights, and particularly if you beat the Uni team – it’s a funny old game and in 5-a-side anything can happen!
FREE ENTRY into O’Couture Afterwards for all Participants!
Wednesday Afternoon of the 24th March is the date for your diary! It’s at Garscube’s great Astro-turf pitches, and by then all your Uni work should be all in. Buses from and to the Main Gate will be provided.
All money raised is going to Parikrma Humanity Foundation, which gives disadvnaged children an education and a chance in Bangalore, India. So feel good while you play!
It’s just £5 per player, and all for a good cause. Each team is guaranteed at least 4 games, and more of course if you do well. At least 4 out of 5 of your team must be members of the SRS!

(Girls very welcome by the way – if enough of you want to take part you’ll have your own tournament and prize).
