On 2nd October 2006, the Group agreed to lobby Scottish MPs to ask them to put pressure on the Government to introduce a Climate Change Bill in the Queen’s Speech in November, to make it compulsory for the Government to reduce the UK’s greenhouse gas emissions by 3% a year.
