GU Dialectic Society
Promoting debate on campus is the Dialectic Society’s challenge.
Regular events include: training for debating and public speaking; lunchtime ‘doughnut debates’ (Wednesdays at 12, GUU); and large-scale public events. The world’s oldest student debating society we allow students to hear both sides of controversial and topical issues while providing a diverse social programme of formal dinners, parties, trips to sporting and cultural events.
Whether an incoming fresher or established student we hope that you’ll find a place in our debating community.
