Volunteering, Clubs & Societies Awards 2012

What’s all this about then?

GUSRC Volunteering, Clubs and Societies Awards 2012 are here! Each year the SRC ask students to identify the club, society or individual who deserves recognition for their contribution to Glasgow University’s brilliant clubs, socs and volunteering community.

The VCS Awards (as they’re known on the streets, and by streets, we mean corridors of the John McIntyre Building, mostly) are open to all, with a bounty of awards in a plethora categories.

For the first time in 2012, the option of voting using the ol’ pen and ink by picking up a form from SRC Reception, or clicking the link below to nominate your favourite group and/or individual online. Nominations closed on 19th March.

From the nominations a shortlist will be produced and the winner selected by the SRC’s esteemed judging panel. Those lucky winners will be identified at a snazzy awards ceremony on March 20th, 6pm in the Williams Room with online results to follow shortly after. How exciting.

How do I get in about this, then?

Nominations have now closed, but prepare yourselves, the winners are coming.

What’s in it for the winners?

    Status, obviously.

But if that’s not enough there’s a stack of cash (in the form of a clubs/socs grant OR Amazon vouchers) for the winners. Each winner will be £50 to the good at the end of the event. Boom.
