The Manifesto can be viewed online via Issuu.
Furthermore, in order to give students the chance to pose questions directly to the candidates (including current Council leader Gordon Matheson) we’re cohosting an event at Strathclyde Student Union. For all the details jump over to the Facebook event!

2/2/2012 – Glasgow University Mumps Cases
GUSRC have been made aware that a small number of students have recently been diagnosed as having mumps.
Students diagnosed with mumps have been advised to stay at home, or at an alternative address away from students if living in student halls of residence.
We would like to advise all students to check their immunisation status with their GP and contact the Barclay Medical Centre regarding free inoculations if you need one.
We’d like to wish students affected a speedy recovery and urge caution to those who suspect they may be experiencing symptoms.
1/2/2012 – GUSRC supporting Opt For Life campaign
GUSRC are proud to support the Evening Times’s Opt For Life Campaign and the notion of presumed opt-in, or presumed consent, organ donating.
We believe that establishing an automatic right to take organs when the donor has not expressed wishes to the contrary would lead to a significant increase in the number of potential donors and that the relatives or those close to a person who has not expressed a wish to donate would be relieved of the burden of making that decision at a traumatic time.
With Wales leading the way and implementing similar proposals from 2015, we believe it is time for Scotland to put in place measures to ensure that the current struggling system is improved.
Please visit the Current Campagins – Opt For Life page for more information or alternatively, sign the petition now via the Evening Times website.
