Glasgow University Students' Representative Council

Freshers' Week 2010

Personal Development and Money Making Opportunities

In conjunction with sparqs (Student Participation in Quality Scotland); the SRC are hoping to recruit between four and six students to become student trainers to train others (also known as peer led training) at institutions in the West of Scotland. The student trainers will be responsible for providing training to course/class representatives in various colleges and universities in the West of Scotland.
Student trainers will be expected to be deliver between 10 and 12 days of training over the course of the academic year. Generally speaking two sessions a day will be delivered and so it is estimated that each Student Trainer will deliver just over twenty training sessions in two blocks (October – December) (March-April).

All training material will be provided and six further training days will be provided for trainers over the course of the year to allow them to develop the skills required to develop course representative training.
