What Does Training Involve?
The training package offered to Student Reps by the SRC is put together in conjunction with sparqs but has been tailored to specifically meet the needs of Glasgow students.
- It involves group activities designed to get Student Reps thinking about the kinds of areas in which you can have an impact and things which are outwith your remit
- Support structures are outlined so you know where to look for help and who to ask about important issues
- The SRC and the University committees are briefly outlined, giving the answers to many common questions
- Promotion and negotiation skills are discussed to help you get the most out of your time as a Student Rep
- Explanation of the new Moodle Site for Student Reps
Need Further Help?
If your tutor or lecturer has not facilitated the election of student representatives, ask why or contact the SRC. For more information on the Course Rep system in general, please visit: Student Reps or contact Gavin Lee, Vice-President (Learning & Development)
