Student Volunteer Support Service Coordinator
Fiona Buckland
As Coordinator for SVSS, Fiona recruits, trains and supports students throughout their Voluntary Placements that the SRC run in conjunction with organisations in and around Glasgow, the aim of which is to help students gain new skills and enhance their employability. She is also responsible for liaising with organisations to find new opportunities for students that will be of benefit to them, the local community, as well as provide a valuable link between the University and the City of Glasgow.
Fiona is also the Project Manager for the collaborative Find a Solution paid placement project, run in conjunction with the University of Glasgow Settlement, of which she is also a Management Committee member.
