I’m a 3rd year law student and the current SRC Convener for the Faculty of Law, Business & Social Science. My role is to work with Student Representatives to ensure that all of the Faculty’s 4000+ students get the best representation possible. I attend regular SRC meetings as well as Faculty meetings and I am responsible for all matters relating to academic affairs in the LBSS Faculty.
As Convener this year, I have several key priorities. Firstly, I intend to hold regular office hours where any LBSS student can raise issues with me. Secondly, I want to ensure good coordination and two-way communication between myself as Faculty Convener and Student Representatives. This will mean that issues are dealt with effectively and that all LBSS students are kept aware of the development of relevant academic issues. Finally, I want to work with the SRC Council to ensure that the SRC remains relevant to the needs of the University’s 24,000 students.
